
La Caleta is a small neighborhood in the Agaeche region belonging to the municipality of Güimar and is located about 30 minutes from El Médano.
It should not be confused with La Caleta in the Adeje area, another little town that is further south. There is little to say about this small town with small family hoyses that are located right on the coast. The coastline is very rugged with a small rocky beach.
Their is a msll area of the beach from where we can access the sea.
If afterwards you wish to relax and sun bathe its only 2 minutes to Playa La Caleta, A sandy beach with beds and parasols for you to spend the rest of your day.

- How to get their?: Take the TF-1 towards Santa Cruz turning off at the La Caleta – Punta Prieta turn-off. Head towards the village and take the second street to the right.

How is the diving in la Caleta El Espigón?
In La Caleta we have the possibility of making two different dives.
In the first dive we follow the sandy bottom which is populated with the garden eels, It is also possible to see different rays in the area. Passing along the side we find the rocks which were created by the volcanic eruption many years before where we can find moray eels octopuses and different species hiding in the cracks and crevices.
On the second dive we follow the volcanic wall itself weaving to the left with plenty of small areas for the fish and morays to be hiding away in. Also we can find the Canarian lobsters hiding in the small caves.
